IAS Preparation after SSC
What should I do after 10th to become an IAS officer, Which stream is good for IAS preparation after 10th, please provide here all information about that, I have passed 10th, now I want to apply for IAS exam???

There is no specific education to do after 10th to become an IAS officer. Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and to become an IAS officer one has to get through the Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC every year. Eligibility:- The applicant must have attained 21 years and not be over 30 years on August 1 of the year of examination. The applicant should have graduate from any recognized university. Number of times you can attempt IAS Exam is 4 for general category while for OBC,PH it is 7 years, while for SC/ST it is unlimited. Selection Procedure: Selection is based on following steps: Preliminary Exam Main Exam Interview Salary: Presently the salary of a new entrant to IAS as Junior Officers is nearly Rs.40, 000 to Rs.45,000 per month and that of senior officers i.e secretary etc is nearly Rs.90,000 besides other benefits and perks. IAS Prelim syllabus: Paper I -(200 marks) Duration : Two hours Current events of national and international importance. History of India and Indian National Movement. Indian and World Geography - Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World. Indian Polity and Governance - Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc. Economic and Social Development - Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc. General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change - that do not require subject specialisation General Science. Syllabus for Paper II-(200 marks) Duration: Two hours Comprehension Interpersonal skills including communication skills; Logical reasoning and analytical ability Decision-making and problemsolving General mental ability Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. - Class X level) |
