The Indian Administrative Service (IAS) exam is conducted by the union Public Service Commission (UPSC). Here, I am giving you dates for the IAS exam.

Important Dates for IAS 2015 exam

Date of Notification: 16 May 2015
CIVIL SERVICES (PRELIMINARY) EXAM 2015:- 23.08.2015 (SUNDAY)
Duration of Exam:- 1 Day
CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAM 2015:- 18.12.2015 (FRIDAY)
Duration of Exam:- 5 Days

Eligibility Criteria:

Nationality:
Candidate should be an Indian citizen.

Education:
Applicant need to pass gradation degree in any discipline form recognized universality.

Age Criteria:
Age of the candidate should be between 21 years to 30 years.

Selection procedure: Selection of the candidate goes to the following stages:

Civil Services prelim exam
Civil Services mains exam
Interview

IAS Prelim Exam pattern:

It contains objective type questions. There are two papers carrying 200 marks.

IAS Main Examination Pattern:

Paper-I

Section 1 Essay 200 Marks

Section 2 English Comprehension & English Précis 100 Marks (The level of paper would be Matriculation/ Xth standard level)

Paper-II

General Studies–I 250Marks (Indian Heritage and Culture, History and Geography of the World and Society)
