The HKUST Jockey Club Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) is committed to providing a platform for catalytic interaction among the world's foremost scientists and scholars to pursue enduring knowledge.

The Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) was set as a key initiative in the HKUST Strategic Plan in 2005.

Facilities

The IAS building capital project is funded by the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government and The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust.
The building is located atop the Lee Shau Kee campus commanding a spectacular sea and main campus view.

The five-story iconic building houses
A 200-seat lecture theater,
An open auditorium,
Three seminar rooms,
One conference room and
About 100 offices
