Is IAS Exam Held Every Year
I have appeared in the Indian Administrative Service exam but I have not qualified it . Does the IAS Exam takes place every year ? How many times in a year is the Indian Administrative Service exam held ? Provide the number of attempts .

IAS (Indian Administrative Service) Examination is held once every year by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission). The details of the Examination is as follows: IAS Exam Eligibility Criteria Nationality: Citizenship of India required. Citizen of Nepal or Subject of Bhutan required. Tibetan Refugee who migrate India to settle permanently before January 01, 1962. Person of Indian origin who migrated from Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Malawi, Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, Vietnam and Zaire Educational Qualification: One must have a bachelor degree from a government recognized university. The professional and technical qualification of one should be recognized by the government. One waiting for final results can also apply. The result will be submitted while filling the application for mains exam. Age Limit: To qualify for IAS exam, the candidate should have minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years old age. Number of Attempts: Category Number of Attempts General 6 SC/ST No Limit OBC 9 IAS Exam Syllabus The UPSC civil services IAS exam syllabus is divided into three phase respectively: Preliminary Exam: The preliminary syllabus is specifically designed to assess the ability of the candidates with the knowledge of UPSC current affairs and aptitude that too at the limited time. Mains Exam: In the phase of the main exam academic and intellectual talent will be tested in depth. Interview: In the phase of Interview personality test matters.
