IAS Entrance Exam Eligibility

Hello sir, what eligibility is needed for IAS entrance exam? Is there any one can provide me required eligibility for IAS entrance exam?

The Indian Administrative Services is special as it works internally for the smooth functioning of law and order without any hindrance.

IAS as a career has been a much preferred option for the Indian youth of all-time. Union Public Service Commission is the authorized body to release the application form and to conduct the IAS written examination.


IAS eligibility:

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

Candidate must hold a degree of any of Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India or other educational institutions established by an Act of Parliament or declared to be deemed as a University Under Section-3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification.

Candidates appearing for their final year degree exam are also eligible to apply for IAS.

Candidates with professional and technical qualifications recognized by the Government of India as equivalent to professional and technical degrees are eligible to apply.

Candidates who have passed final year of MBBS exam but are yet to complete internship can apply for the prelim exam.

Age:
Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years.

Age Relaxation:-
Upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe

Upto a maximum of three years in the case of candidates belonging to Other Backward Classes who are eligible to avail of reservation applicable to such candidates
