The International Amateur Radio Union (IARU) is an international confederation of national amateur radio organisations which is headquartered in the city of Newington, Connecticut, USA.

It was formed in 1925.

With solid HF conditions and increased participation, a total of 42 43 records were set during the year 2014 running of the IARU HF Championship.

The IARU records were recently updated by a talented group including K3WA, N3ND, EA4ZK, N1RR, AB1J, N5KM and N1JM.
