Hey , I heard that Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI) offers scholarship to its students . Will you please tell about the amount and the duration of the scholarship ?

Indian Agricultural Research Institute (hereinafter referred to as Institute) Junior and Senior Scholarship shall be awarded to M.Sc. and Ph.D. students admitted under General Open Competition Scheme

Duration:

For junior scholarships for M.Sc. course :
two years

for senior scholarships for Ph.D. course :
three years.

In case of SC/ST/PH students the scholarships are extendable up to a period of six months/one year, respectively.


Value of Scholarship

For M.Sc. course 7,560/- per month :

For Ph.D. course :
10,500/- per month.

The scholarship will be inclusive of all fees and other charges of the teaching institution.

In addition to the monthly amount of junior/senior scholarship :
Contingent grant :
6,000/- per academic year for M.Sc. students,
10,000/- per academic year for Ph.D students,.


Students will be paid the cost of experimental material, books, the thesis and the study tours required for the study as recommended by the Chairperson/Professor concerned.

INDIAN AGRICULTURAL RESEARCH INSTITUTE Scholarship

Field of study: Agriculture

Programme: M.Sc. and Ph.D. Programmes with a Fellowship of Rs. 1200/- per month plus contingency grant of Rs. 3000/- per annum for M.Sc. and Rs. 1800/- per month plus contingency grant of Rs. 5000/- per annum.


Scholarship Details:

The value of IARI scholarship is Rs. 13, 125/- per month for a period of three years.

Eligibility Criteria:

Only those applicants who had their bachelor’s degree programs under 10+2+4 or 10+2+3 or 10+1+4 system and fulfill the qualifications are eligible to apply for admission.

Applicants who appear at the master’s degree final year examination in 2015 are also eligible to apply and appear in written entrance examination provisionally for Ph.D program.

Notification : notification are displayed in month May/ June.
