I am reading B.A 1st year in political science want to an IPS officer
I am student of the B.A 1st year in political science and I want to become an IPS officer? Can I am eligible for this? Please tell me about the eligibility required for become an IPS officer?

If you want to become an IPS officer then you must complete Bachelor degree from recognized university. The IPS is stands for Indian Police Service and this Examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission for every year. The IAS Exam will consist of three stages. These are as follows: Preliminary Examination Main Examination and Interview Eligibility: Educational Qualification The candidate must have a graduation degree from an Indian University or an equivalent qualification. Those in the final year of a degree course can also appear in the Preliminary Examination taken every year by UPSC. Age limit The candidate must have attained the age of 21 years on 1st August of the year of examination and must not have attained 30 years of age on that date. Nationality The applicant must be either: a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal, or a subject of Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee |
