The Institute of Life Sciences of University of Hyderabad offers research training program and the objective of the program is to impart hands on training to students in the area of molecular biology, cell biology and bio chemistry. This helps them to get participated in the cutting edge research. Any master level student can participate in the program. The duration of the program is 8th to 12th month and the fee structure is Rs 50000/- for entire program.

The School of Life Sciences has been established with an emphasis on interdisciplinary teaching and research in modern biology.

The School consists of four Departments:

Each of the three departments offers M.Sc. as well as Ph.D. programmes of study. Under Distance Education Programme, the School is providing two P.G. Diplomas: one in "Environmental Management" and the other in "Medicinal Botany".

1) Department of Biochemistry
