Hult International Business School was established In 1964, as America's first corporate university, after few years known as the Arthur D. Little School of Management.The teaching strategy adopted was different from other business schools because it emphasized "action learning" and applying classroom theory in the real world.

Hult International Business School was established in the year 1964. The school is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the Association of MBAs.

The school is incorporated as Hult International Business School, Inc., a non-profit organization under Massachusetts law

History

The institution was established in 1964 by Arthur D. Little Inc. as the Management Education Institute .

In 1976, the Arthur D. Little school was accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges

In 1996, the school, known as the Arthur D. Little School of Management, with partnership along with Boston College's Carroll School of Management

In 2002, after Arthur D. Little declared bankruptcy, Kaplan, Inc. initiated acquisition of the business school, renaming it the Concord School of Management.

In November 2002, Kaplan abandoned its acquisition plans.

In 2003 Bertil Hult stepped in to financially support the failing school.

In 2005, after the accreditation of Hult's one year MBA program by the AMBA, Hult began opening new campuses.

The Shanghai campus opened in 2007.

In 2009, Hult acquired the former facilities of Huron University USA in London to open its London campus.

Hult's San Francisco campus opened in 2010.
