During the year 1958, a Corporation, "Mandi-Kullu Road Transport Corporation" was floated jointly by the Govt. of Punjab, Himachal and Railways under the Road Transport Corporation Act, 1950 to operate on the joint routes in the States of Punjab and Himachal. On 02.10.1974, Himachal Govt. Transport was merged with Mandi-Kullu Road Transport Corporation and was renamed what even today is known as Himachal Road Transport Corporation.

Current Openings:
Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) is inviting the applications for the following posts:

Junior Technician ( Motor Mechanic , Welder,
Carpenter)
Workshop Helper (Blacksmith, Tyreman, Upholster ,
Painter)

No of posts: 158

Pay Scale:
Jr. Technicians: Rs.5910 + 1900 Grade Pay
Workshop Helper: Rs.4900 + 1400 Grade Pay

Qualification:
Jr. Technicians:
Minimum Matric Pass and having ITI diploma in the
concerned trade for the post of Jr. Technicians
Workshop Helper:
Middle pass with 5 years experience in the relevant
trades , for the post of Workshop Helpers

Age Limit:
Between 18 to 45 years ( relaxation for 5 year for reserved)

Selection:
The selection will be on the basis of written test, trade
test and Personal interview.

The application forms can be obtained from HRTC Regional and Divisional offices as well as on to the official website of the corporation.

Duly completed application forms should be submitted to
the Divisional Manager

Last date for application submission:
For Non- tribal areas: - 28/07/2012
For Tribal areas: - 03/08/2012

Application fees:
Rs/- 100 for Generals
Rs/- 50 for others
