HP University MCA Fee Structure

I want to take admission in Master of Computer Applications (M.C.A.) Course at Department of Computer Science – HP (Himachal Pradesh) University, Shimla so please give me details for admission? Also give me detailed fee structure of MCA at HP University?

The Himachal Pradesh University [HPU], Shimla offers Master of Computer Applications MCA program of duration 3 years.

MCA Fee Structure-

For Subsidized seat:

Rs.1,500/- approximately per semester (subject to change from time to time as per university rules) is to be deposited at the university fee counter at the time of seeking admission and subsequently at the time of seeking admission for continuation in 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th semesters.

In addition an Equipment Fees of Rs.3,000/- (Rupees three thousand only) per annum is to be deposited by the candidates at the time of admission & subsequently at the time of seeking admission for continuation in 3rd & 5th semester

For Non-Subsidized seat:

In addition to the fees mentioned above, a candidates admitted under Non-Subsidized category shall also have to pay a consolidated fee of Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) per annum

Duration - 3 years course in 6 sems.

Total 46 Seats:

Subsidized seats= 30 + 01 (Reserved for a single Child who is a girl) Non-Subsidized seats= 15

MCA Eligibility-

Bachelors degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST) from a University established by law in India, with Mathematics at +2 level OR BCA/B. Sc. (IT)/ B. Sc. (Computer Science)/any graduate with computers as one of the subject in all the three years of graduation with at least 50% marks (45% in case of SC/ST) from a University established by law in India.

Maximum age limit for admission to MCA course is 26 years for general category, 29 years for SC/ST category and 28 years for girl candidates, as on the 1st July of the year concerned.

Basis of Admission

The admission to MCA course will be made on the basis of merit of the Entrance Examination (written test) conducted by H.P. University.
