On a basic level, interior designers design and create living and working spaces for a variety of clients, either as freelancers or as part of a design firm.

Designers often specialize in a particular area, such as green spaces, home design or corporate workspaces.

To become an Interior Designer one has to follow below given steps:

As a first step the aspiring candidates have to take multi level entrance test for Programme in Design.

After completion of degree course one can either join some senior Interior Designer for the exposure or experience as an assistant Interior Designer.

After getting related qualification and enough exposure in the field one can start own business or can continue working for some big Interior designing firms with good financial return.

Scope

Self-employment is good option or do contract work on top of jobs at design firms.

Additional advantage is that as one interior design career progresses, one may discover a preference for one type of interior design over another.

One can specialize in designing for corporate settings, restaurants, hotels, and hospitals or other health care facilities, or you may decide to focus on residential design.

One also has good option for further studies like Master degree and after that research studies.

One can find jobs mainly in commercial settings such as schools, corporate, hotels, and hospitals.
