How to reach NIT Calicut from Calicut Railway Station

Can you help me by tell me the right way to reach NIT or National Institute of Technology, Calicut from Calicut Railway Station as I am new in the city and quite unaware about it?

NIT or National Institute of Technology, Calicut was set up in 1961. It is one of the National Institutes of Technology established by the Government of India for imparting high standard technical education to students from all over the country.

The distance between Calicut Railway Station and NIT Calicut is about 24 kms (15.00 miles)

To reach NIT Calicut from Calicut Railway Station follow the below given steps:

From Calicut railway station, go to “Palayam” bus stand which is about 1 Km from the railway station.

From Palayam bus stand, there are private buses every five minutes from 6.00 am to 9.00 pm to Mukkam via Kunnamangalam and NIT Calicut.

Make sure that you are boarding a bus which goes via NIT.

It takes 40 to 45 minutes travel time.

Get down at NIT bus stop.
