How to Prepare for UGC NET Exam?

UGC NET is stands for University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test. This exam is counducted for the following posts.

You are asking for the Tips to prepare for UGC NET. Here I am providing you some tips that will helps in scoring good marks in exam.

The very first key to success in the NET is proper management of the resources


You should need to prefer best reference books.

You should need to cover every topic in the syllabus

The candidates should also pay special attention to the undergraduate and postgraduate syllabus of that particular subject.

You should also need to follow the last 5 year question papers.

One of the most important things to do is to learn about the latest pattern of the NET question paper.


Here I am providing you the NET Exams paper pattern. This will helps you in the prepration of your exam. This is as follows:

First session:

Paper I (100 marks):

The exam will consist of 60 out of which 50 question have to be attempted.

The exam will be held for one hour 15 minutes (09.30 am to 10.45 am)

Paper II (100 marks)

The exam will consist of 50 questions of which all are compulsory. The exam will be held for one hour 15 minutes (10.45 am to 12.00 noon)


Second session:

Paper III (150 marks):

The exam will consist of 75 questions of which all are compulsory. The exam will be held for two hour 30 minutes (01.30 pm to 4.00 pm).
