How to prepare for ISAT

Can you provide me some tips for preparation of the ISAT, an Entrance Examination conducted for admission to the Bachelor’s of Technology Programme?

Create a practical study plan

Know your strength and weakness

Read the questions cautiously

Use fewer books for theory

Plan your exam strategy

Train your mind for the exam

Practice previous year papers

Use our cheat-sheet to revise formulas

Use method of elimination

Learn all the shortcuts

Stay Physically and Mentally Balanced

Practice a lot

Make an effort of keeping track of your speed and accuracy to solve the questionnaire.

Always read the questionnaire with ease and do not rush into answering quickly as nothing ruins matters than being overly eager to finish first.

Revision is the key to keep a sound mind

A day before the exam, simply relax and leave the stress aside, a positive attitude and a calm mind will surely benefit you to crack the exam.

Syllabus of ISAT

The candidate should study the following areas for Physics
• Thermodynamics
• Properties of matter
• Electromagnetism
• Optics and waves
• Mechanics and laboratory related questions
For chemistry, they have to cover
• Physical Chemistry
• Organic Chemistry
• Environmental Chemistry
• Inorganic chemistry
For maths, the candidate should study
• Trigonometry
• Vector Algebra
• Statistics and probability
• Matrices and determinants
• Limit, sets, relations and functions
• Binomial theorem etc.
