How to Open PPF Account in State Bank of Mysore

My father is searching for proess to open PPF Account in branch of State Bank of Mysore. He said me to search also but I dont know from where I will get this information. So will you please tell me how he can open PPF Account in State Bank of Mysore?

This Scheme may be called the Public Provident Fund (Amendment) Scheme, 2011

It shall come into force on the 1st day of December 2011

The Public Provident Fund scheme is a statutory scheme of the Central Government framed under the provisions of the Public Provident Fund Act, 1968.

It is not necessary to deposit subscription in every month of the year. The amount of subscription can also be varied to suit the convenience of the subscriber.

The interest credited to the fund is totally exempt from Income Tax.
