How many times can one appear in IES exam conducted by UPSC, give number of attempts & more detailed information related to UPSC IES exam???

IES entrance exam conducted by UPSC.

Number of attempts for IES Exam 2015:

1. Four attempts for general candidates.

2. Seven attempts for OBC candidates.

3. No limit for SC / ST candidates

AGE LIMIT:
The minimum age attained by the candidate is 21 years and the candidate must not be more than 30 years.

Qualification:
The candidate must have an Engineering degree from a University incorporated by an Act of the Central Government or State Legislature in India.

Categories of which recruitment is made through the Examination

i. Civil Engineering

ii. Mechanical Engineering

iii. Electrical Engineering

iv. Electronics & Tele-communication Engineering

Application fees:
Rs. 200 for - General/OBC candidates is Rs. 200
No Application fee for - SC, ST, PH and female candidates

Candidates can make payment through online mode or offline mode.
Online Payment Mode: Credit Card, Debit Card and Internet Banking.
Offline Payment Mode: E-Challan through any branch of SBI (State Bank of India)
