Hello, civil service exam is one of the prestigious exam conducted by UPSC
for recruitment to various All India Service.IAS is one of them.

The IAS exam is consist of 3 stages.

1.Preliminary

2.Main exam

3.Interview

Preliminary

The preliminary

The exam conducted in month of May.The exam consist of 2 compulsory
papers of 200 marks each & of 2 hrs duration each.

The question are of objective type.

Main Exam(Written)

Candidate are allows to choose 2 optional subject.All the question paper for
the exam will be conventional essay type.Each paper will be 3 hrs duration .

Interview
After qualifying th emain exam the final stage is interview to test their mental ability,the intellectual qualities & their personality.
Then the candidate who have secured good rank for training.After training they are posted as per recruitment of the vacancies of state/central govt.

Syllabus

Paper 1
History of India and Indian national movement
General issues on Environmental Ecology, Bio-diversity and Climate Change – that do not require subject specialization General Science.
Indian and world geography- Physical, Social, Economic Geography of India and the World.
Indian politics and governance-Constitution, Political System, Panchayati Raj, Public Policy, Rights Issues, etc.
Current events of national and international importance
Economic and social development Ecology- – Sustainable Development, Poverty, Inclusion, Demographics, Social Sector initiatives, etc.

Paper 2
Comprehension
Logical reasoning and analytical ability
Interpersonal skills including communication skills
General mental ability
English language comprehension skills
Basic numeracy (numbers and their relations, orders of magnitude, etc.) (Class X level), Data interpretation (charts, graphs, tables, data sufficiency etc. – Class X level).
