Re: How M.S and M.Tech differ?

M.S- Master of Science
M.Tech- Master of Technology

Both are PG level courses in the field of engineering and technology.
The main difference between these 2 is of course orientation and pattern.

Like in M.Tech aspirant has to attend classes regularly to gain knowledge. And subject in M.Tech is studied in detail. And there are lot of theoretical aspects which are to be studied, that’s why attending classroom session is essential.
While in M.S attendance is of least importance. Practical knowledge and self study are given more stress. They attend classes of important subjects only.
Other main difference is of time span. M.Tech is usually of 2 years. Project work and study both have to done in this time frame only. But in M.S candidate can take time upto 3-4 years or till time project is not completed.
