To become a Criminal Investigation Department (CID) officer you need to appear in the Civil Services examination which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission. Following are the details of this exam: Nationality: A candidate must be a citizen of: A citizen of India, or A subject of Nepal, or A subject of Bhutan, or A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Burma, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. Required qualification: You should have completed bachelor’s degree with good academic record from any recognized university of India…………. Age Limits Candidate must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 30 years on 1st August |

CID means Criminal Investigation Department. You can join CID through SSC Combined Graduate Preliminary Examination. This examination is conducted by the SSC every year. This exam is conducted in the month of July/August of every year. Notification generally release in the months of April of every year. Eligibility: Candidate must have passed Graduation degree in any Discipline from recognized University Age limit: Age should be between 20 to 27 years Exam Pattern: Tier I Written test (Objective type) Tier II Written test (Objective type) Personality test SSC Combined Graduate Exam Question Paper |
