Here are some tips

Cover the syllabus fully without leaving any considerable portion.

Refer to standard text books for the portion given

For the English section and general awareness, along with any standard books, which are plenty in the market, refer to other competitive exam question papers

Practice as many problems as possible and cover as many different types and situations few problems as possible.

Increase you speed and accuracy to complete the exam fast.

Refer to other exam question papers like the GATE/CSAT/Bank PO etc for both practice and to get an idea of what might be asked
