Well, if an average student prepare right for the IAS examination, he can easily crack it, proper planning and the guidance is required. Here I am giving you some Tips to crack IAS Exam:

Choose the right optional subject
Get the right study material
Solve all the example questions!
Fresh mind before preparation and during the last minutes in exam!
Time management!
Develop the habit of reading the newspaper regularly
Refer to basic grammar books to clear the concepts
Try solving past year's question papers so that you have an idea of what to expect
Avoid cramming rather understand
Solve as much previous year papers as you can
Remove the fear within you
Do not lose hope
Spend one quality hour everyday!
Do not mug ever
Plan and study well
Study each subject specifically
