Customs Officer Exam is a civil service examination which is conduct by UPSC Union Public Service Commission. It is an entrance exam which provides entry into 27 different services which includes the Indian Customs & Central Excise Services. Eligibility Criteria Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree for appearing this exam. Candidate must have 55% of marks in bachelor’s degree for applying. Qualities required a Custom Officer: Candidate must have minimum 18 years age. Candidate must have an Indian citizen. Candidate must have a Vehicle license. Candidate must have ability to do work flexibly. Candidate must have reliable transportation. Candidate must be able to activate a radio or telephone equipment and console monitors. Selection process : Selection process is based on two stages: 1.Preliminary exam 2.Main exam Preparation tips for exam: Candidate must be aware from all current affairs. Candidates General Awareness must be good. Candidate should read the newspapers regularly. Candidate should do study from good books. Candidate must have good knowledge of English. To become a Customs Officer you have to appear in Civil Services Examination. It is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission.
