Hey as The University of Mysore is a public state university in Mysore, Karnataka, India. The university was founded during the reign of Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, the Maharaja of Mysore. It opened on July 27, 1916.


Eligibility:-

Applicants who have secured at least 55% of aggregate marks (50% for SC/ST/Cat-1/Physicaly Challenged candidates) or equivalent grade under grading system, in their Master’s Degree or equivalent examination from the recognised Universities/Institutions.


Exemptions

Applicants who have qualified for UGC/CSIR (JRF) Fellowships
OR
qualified for Lecturership through UGC/CS IR NET Examination/ K-SET/ GATE
OR
Government/Aided College Teachers under FIP.

Applicants who have completed M.Phil course, provided their M.Phil course was through an Entrance Examination.

Foreign Nationals with Indian/Foreign Degrees.


Application fee per paper:-

General merit candidates: Rs.2000/-

SC/ST/Cat-1 candidates: Rs.750/-


How to apply
The prescribed Application Form can be obtained in person from the office of the Directorate of Research, Pareeksha Bhavan, University of Mysore, Mysore-5
The duly filled in application form along with scanned copy of bank challan must be submitted online on or before 05.00pm on March 07th, 2015.

The Entrance Test was scheduled to be held on March 28th & 29th, 2015 at various centres in India.

There is no upper age limit for applying for the Ph.D entrance test
