The HKUST International Summer Exchange Program accepts applications from undergraduate students who are nominated by HKUSTs exchange partners as an exchange student.

Applications are normally invited from November to March each year.

Applicants from institutions where the primary medium of instruction is not English are expected to meet one of the following English language requirements:

IELTS overall band 6.0;
TOEFL paper-based test (PBT) 550;
TOEFL computer-based test (CBT) 213;
TOEFL internet-based test (iBT) 80
