Nalanda University envisions its Library to be the central fulcrum of the master plan of the University, both in terms of its design and bearing.

The Library has an active acquisition programme of books, e-books, e-journals and online databases.

In March 2006 mooted the idea of reviving the university.

The Library aims to become an apex resource center with state-of-the-art Library resource (print and digital) and services.
