The Commission conducts West Bengal Civil Service (WBCS) examinations. It conducts both preliminary and main exam for filling-up vacancies in Govt. Departments.

AGE LIMIT:
21-32 years. Age relaxation for SC,ST,OBC as per rule.

Qualification:

A degree of a recognized University

Pay Scale:

GROUP – A: (PB-4A) Rs.15,600/- to 42,000/- + G.P. Rs. 5,400/-
GROUP – B: (PB-4A) Rs.15,600/- to 42,000/- + G.P. Rs. 5,400/-
GROUP – C: (PB-4) Rs.9,000/- to 40,500/- + G.P. Rs. 4,700/- or G.P. Rs. 4,400/-
GROUP – D: (PB-3) Rs.7,100/- to 37,600/- + G.P. Rs. 3,900/-

The preliminary examination was held sometimes at the end of JUNE, 2014
