Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla was established in 1970 by an Act of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

Yes Himachal Pradesh University (HPU), Shimla offered full time four years Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Painting and two years Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Pahari Miniature Painting programs.

Admission criteria:

For BFA in Painting Program:
Applicants pass in 10+2 in any stream from a recognized board are eligible to apply.

For MFA in Pahari Miniature Painting Program:
Applicants holding bachelor degree in any stream from a recognized university are eligible to apply.
