Re: High Speed IRDA
Well below I have given you the details for the High Speed IRDAs so you can have a look The TIR2000 is an infrared (IR) controller The TIR2000 gives an interface between the ISA bus (host system) and an infrared transceiver. It assist the Infrared Data Association (IrDA) standard up to 4Mbps High Speed along with ASK and TV infrared standards. It encodes and decodes the information to conform to the appropriate standard, It also converts the data into a format that may be send by the infrared transceiver. Salient Features Assist 11 IRQ and 3 DMA options for increased flexibility to use interrupt or DMA mode transfer configurations Power management support (3.3 or 5 V operation) for low power and portable applications Assist IrDA standard 1.0 and 1.1 for communicaiton with other standard compliant products (115.2Kbps - 4Mbps) Selectable 16 or 64-byte FIFO that stores more information before sending interrupt request to host, increasing system efficiency and speed ISA Bus compatible, including UART TIR1000 Infrared Controller The TIR1000 is an infrared (IR) controller that interfaces directly to a Universal Asynchronous Receiver/Transmitter (UART) It is to receive serial data which it then transfers at a maximum rate of 115.2 Kbps to an IrDA-compatible transceiver. Salient Features 3 V and 5 V operation suitable for low power and portable applications Decodes negative or positive pulses for increased system flexibility IrDA compatible for communication with other standard compliant products 1200 bps to 115.2 Kbps data rate designed for lower speed applications |
