I completed 12th with PCM and want to do engineering degree from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar searching for cut off details. Will you tell details about Guru Nanak Dev University AIEEE Cutoff along with Eligibility criteria also provide details about Admission procedure?

Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar was founded on November 24, in 1969. The university has nearly 20,000 students enrolled in the programmes and affiliated colleges.

Admission for 85% seats (for candidates belonging to Punjab State) for B.Tech. , MBA & MCA is made on the Basis of AIEEE and MET respectively conducted by Punjab Technical University.

Eligibility criteria (for B.Tech courses)-

Candidates having passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the optional subjects i.e. Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Computer Science.

For admission through LEET For Direct admission to 2nd Year Degree, a candidate should have passed three year diploma in any engineering trade from Punjab State Board of Technical Education, Chandigarh or Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Longowal or such Examination from any other recognized State Board of Technical Education. Admission is on merit through Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar.

Admission procedure (candidates belonging to other states) -

Admission for 15% seats (for candidates belonging to Other States) is made on the basis of AIEEE. The students seeking admission under this quota have to fill a form and submit in University before counselling.

Reservations:

Out of 85% seats of B.Tech. (For candidates belonging to Punjab State), 50% seats are exclusively reserved for the students belonging to Sikh Minority Community.

Eligibility for Sikh Minority seats: A student must pass the Religions Test conducted by SGPC, advertised in major newspapers in the month of April every year.

Students belonging to rural areas of Punjab are given reservation subject to fulfilment of specified criteria, given in the CT Brochure, PTU, Jalandhar.
