Re: GRE Scholarship Criteria

Graduate Records Examinations (GRE) is a significant examination to be cleared to make it to the USA education system popularly. It also holds significance for graduate courses offered in English speaking countries globally too.

Scholarships are essentially given when any student puts up an outstanding educational efforts or outstanding talent.

Scholarships based on scores of GRE are very less. However, one needs to score at least above 165 in the quantitative and verbal part of GRE as well as 4.5 in writing skills part of GRE to get a scholarship.

The Scores of GRE/ GMAT and TOEFL are very important for the scholarship decisions, but they are not necessarily the only needs.

It is needless to say that having a good GRE or GMAT score increases the probability of assortment over others.

GRE consists of three component parts – Quantitative, Analytical, and Verbal – each of which is evaluated on a scale of 800; thus, the cumulative GRE score is out of 2400. The potential schools are interested not only in the cumulative GRE score, but also in the scores on the three individual components. So, the GRE score of 2100 may have diverse blow depending on the scores on its component parts.

GRE score is only one constituent of the admissions criteria. The other elements included for influencing the admission criteria includes: the academic performance, letters of recommendation, statement of purpose, and so on.

The GRE score alone cannot determine the chances for financial aid, or for admission for that matter.
