Re: Was The GRE Hard
The GRE general test is meant to measure your overall academic ability and is the standard exam for admission to non-business schools. GRE Scores For the quantitative and verbal reasoning assessments of the GRE revised General test, the scores range from 130 to 170 points. For the analytic writing section, scores range from 0.0 to 6.0, in half-point increments. GRE Test pattern: The GRE General Test measures your’s verbal, quantitative, critical thinking and analytical writing skills which are covered in three sections: Verbal Reasoning Quantitative Reasoning and Analytical Writing. Compounding the rusty math-brain syndrome is the fact that the GRE math is different from the math you probably did in college. The simple fact is that the GRE verbal is very hard, even for Ph.D. candidates. The writing is dense, stylistic; the vocabulary is esoteric, daunting. Just as you struggle on a very difficult three-blank Text Completion, or a probability question involving the combinations formula, so too do 99% of the students taking the test. Tips for GRE preparation: 1. Give yourself plenty of time to prep (do not make the GRE a more stressful experience than it needs to be). 2. Learn how to study for the GRE (this blog is a helpful resource to get you started) 3. Improvement will come gradually. At times you will plateau for a while. So remember—be patient. GRE Centers in India: Ahmedabad Allahabad Bangalore Chennai Cochin Coimbatore Dehradun Gandhinagar Gurgaon Gwalior Hyderabad Indore Kolkata Mumbai Nashik New Delhi Nizamabad Patna Pune Trivandrum Vadodara and Vijawada. |
