The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) is a standardized test taken by students for admission to postgraduate business management courses in the US and in some other parts of the world.

The GMAT is a test of verbal and mathematical reasoning skills, analytical writing and integrated reasoning

The GMAT is owned by the Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC)

Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for the GMAT exam have not been officially stated by Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC)

But the candidates must possess the following qualification
Candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university
Candidate must be proficient in English Language.
Candidate must be minimum 18 years of age.
There is no upper age limit

Exam Pattern:
GMAT Test Section No. of Questions
Analytical Writing Assessment 1 Topic
Integrated Reasoning 12 Questions
Quantitative 37 Questions
Verbal 41 Questions


GMAT Syllabus
The GMAT syllabus is divided into following section:
Integrated Reasoning Section
In this section reasoning abilities of candidates is measured by providing various information like graphic, numeric and verbal. This section includes:
Multi-Source Reasoning
Table Analysis
Graphics Interpretation
Two-Part Analysis

Quantitative Section
This section measures the quantitative aptitude of a candidate like solving quantitative problems, and interpreting graphic data. The questions in this section are generally asked from

Problem Solving
Data Sufficiency

Verbal Section
The verbal section measures the ability of a candidate to read and comprehend the written material like passages, sentences and grammar. The questions that are asked in the verbal section are from the following areas.

Reading comprehension
Critical reasoning
Sentence correction

Analytical Writing Assessment
The analytical writing assessment (AWA) consists of a writing assessment and analysis of an argument. The candidates are given 30 min. task to write their review, analysis of a given argument.
