About the General Pharmaceutical Council
The General Pharmaceutical Council is the body responsible for the independent regulation of the pharmacy profession within England, Scotland and Wales, responsible for the regulation of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and pharmacy premises.

Guidelines for the Registration

The criteria for registration as a pharmacist describes the education, training and experience requirements for initial registration as a pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council. You can apply to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacist if you:
have a UK-recognised pharmacist qualification
are an European Economic Area (EEA) national with an EEA pharmacist qualification
an overseas (non-EEA) qualified pharmacist, or a non-EEA national with an EEA pharmacist qualification (other than a UK pharmacist qualification).
