Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT) is a national level entrance exam conducted by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) as per the directions of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India to select graduates for admission into the Master’s (M.Pharm) program. Important Dates 2017 Registration Start Date Date : 10th October 2016 Registration End Date Date : 15th December 2016 Exam Date Date :28th January,2017 29th January,2017(Reserved Day) Result Declaration Date :To be announced Print Out Of Score Card Date : To be announced GPAT Eligibility Criteria One should be an Indian citizen, One must have B. Pharma degree One appearing in the final year of B. Pharma programme can also apply GPAT Syllabus 1. Pharmaceutics: Introduction to Physical pharmacy, Importance of microbiology in pharmacy, Introduction to pharmaceutical jurisprudence & ethics, Introduction to dispensing and community pharmacy, Importance of unit operations in manufacturing & Stoichiometry, Dosages Forms, designing & evaluation, Bio-pharmaceutics & Pharmacokinetics. 2. Pharmaceutical Chemistry: Inorganic pharmaceutical & medicinal chemistry, Organic Chemistry and its importance in pharmacy, Biochemistry, Basic Principles of Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis. 3. Pharmacology: Pathophysiology of common diseases, immune- pathophysiology, Fundamentals of general pharmacology, Drugs Acting on the Hemopoietic System, Pharmacology of Endocrine System, Chemotherapy, Principles of Toxicology, Basic Concepts of Pharmacotherapy. 4. Pharmacognosy: Sources of Drugs, Classification of Drugs, Systematic pharmacognostic study, Studies of Traditional Drugs, General Techniques of Biosynthetic Studies and Basic Metabolic Pathways/Biogenesis. |
