The University of Calicut invites nominations for the Golden Mother Award which is conferred to Mothers.

The purpose of the programme is to highlight the contribution of mothers to societal development and nation building and to make available exemplary models to the youngsters Individuals themselves or educational institutions, trade unions, LSGIs, NGOs and other firms can submit nominations.

Mothers in the age group of over 50 and who are energetically contributing to their domains of service will be considered for the award.

The selection will be prepared by committees consisting of experts in the respective domains. There will be an zenith Committee consisting of stalwarts in the areas and nominated by the hon’ble Vice Chancellor for final approval of the nominations made.

TA/DA as per actuals or taxi expenses as per university rules and regulations will be paid to the awardees. Free housing if required will be arranged for the
awardees at the University Guest House.

The Application format is available on the University Website. Last Date for receiving nominations is 15-10-2013.
