GMAT Test

Can you provide me the syllabus and paper pattern of Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) as I will be giving the exam this year so need to for preparation of the exam?

The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a computer adaptive test conducted round the year at test centers throughout the world.

The GMAT exam measures verbal, mathematical, reasoning and analytical writing skills.

The test is designed to help graduate management programs assess the qualifications of applicants for advanced study in business and management.

GMAT was originally a paper-and-pencil test; it is now a computer-adaptive test (CAT), where examinees sit at a computer in a testing center.

The computer-adaptive test format means that the difficulty of the questions faced are based upon the test performance.

Exam Pattern:
The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) shall be having three main parts on the following topics:
1) Analytical Writing Assessment
2) Quantitative Section and
3) Verbal Section

Distribution of Questions:
Analytical Writing Assessment- 1 Question
Integrated Reasoning- 12 Questions
Quantitative Aptitude- 37 Questions and
Verbal- 41 Questions

Total Time Allotted:
3 Hours and 30 Minutes

Time Allotted to different Sections:

Writing Section- Analysis of Issue Essay and Argument Essay- 30 Minutes each
Maths Section- 75 Minutes and
Verbal Section- 75 Minutes

Syllabus of Study:
Analytical Writing Assessment:
Essay based questions having justification and analysis; arguments and critical evaluation on the part of the applicants

Integrated Reasoning:
Multi Source Reasoning; Table Analysis; Graphics Interpretation and Two Part Analysis Quantitative Section: Problem Solving based questions and DS (Data Sufficiency) questions

Verbal Section:
Critical Reasoning and Sentence Correction and Reading Comprehension based questions; Fundamental Skills in English
