Re: GMAT Stands For
GMAT stands for Graduate Management Admission Test and it is a 3½-hour standardized exam intended to predict how test takers will perform academically in MBA (Masters in Business Administration) programs. GMAT scores are one of the parameters considered by graduate business schools to make admission decisions. The GMAT is developed by GMAC i.e. Graduate Management Admission Council, which determines what kinds of skills the GMAT should compute. GMAT seeks to evaluate four broad skill areas: analytical writing, quantitative reasoning, verbal reasoning, and integrated reasoning. Some of the Business Schools accepting GMAT score which are highest score are as follows: Business school (name) (state) Average GMAT score U.S. News b-school rank Stanford University (CA) 732 1 University of Pennsylvania (Wharton) 728 3 Harvard University (MA) 726 2 University of Chicago (Booth) 724 4 New York University (Stern) 721 11 (tie) Yale University (CT) 719 13 (tie) University of California—Berkeley (Haas) 717 7 Columbia University (NY) 716 8 Dartmouth College (Tuck) (NH) 716 9 University of California— Los Angeles (Anderson) 715 15 |
