Re: Global School Enrollment

Gross Enrollment Ratio (GER) or Gross Enrollment Index (GEI) is a statistical measure that is used in the education sector and by the UN in its Education Index .
This measure is used to determine the number of students enrolled in school at several different grade levels like in elementary school, in middle school and in high school

This measure is used to examine to analyze the ratio of the number of students who live in the country to those who qualify the particular grade level.

Formula for calculating GER is:
GER = number of actual students enrolled / number of potential students enrolled

for example if we want to get GER of a particular nation where number of enrolled students is =80000
And the total number of school-age individuals is=100000
GER = number of actual students enrolled / number of potential students enrolled
=
80000/100000
= .80
=80%
