Canterbury Christ Church University was established in the year 2005. It is affiliated to Universities at Medway , Cathedrals Group ,Million+ .

The summer schools are opportunities offered to gifted and talented pupils from around the country by the South East Excellence Hub aged four- 19.

There are nine Excellence Hubs running in England, put forward for the scheme

The Excellence Hub at Canterbury Christ Church University, offers residential or non residential summer schools, offered course in:

PHYSICAL EDUCATION: Sport Education (12-14 year olds)

CHEMISTRY: Nature’s Chemical Store – Separation and Synthesis (15-17 year olds)

ART: Mud and Pigment (15-17 year olds

ENGLISH: From Wordsworth to Wessex – literature and culture in 1800s Britain (15-17 year olds)
