Get Direct Admission BITS Pilani

Can you tell me the process to get direct admission in Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani as I want to apply for it, please help me with this?

The Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani is an all India Institution declared as Deemed to be University under Section 3 of the UGC Act.

Admissions to all the Integrated First Degree programmes of BITS, Pilani, at Pilani campus, Goa campus, and Hyderabad Campus are made on the basis of a Computer based Online Test conducted by BITS, Pilani. It is referred to as ‘BITS Admission Test’ or BITSAT.

Direct Admission BITS Pilani

The candidates who have secured first rank in CBSE and respective state boards can get direct admission in Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani without any entrance examination scores.

It is providing direct admission to the CBSE and State board toppers. These toppers can apply to any of the programmes that they wish to pursue in BITS Pilani.

To be eligible for direct admission, candidates must have a minimum aggregate of 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or PCM (if they have taken Mathematics in BITSAT) or a minimum aggregate of 75% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology or PCB (if they have taken Biology in BITSAT) subjects in the 12th exam, with at least 60% marks in each of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology subjects.

These candidates must have passed the qualifying exam in Science discipline. The first rank holders from PCM are considered for admission to any programme of his choice and first rank holders form PCB will be considered for admission to B.Pharm programme only.

BITSAT Eligibility Criteria for Board Toppers (Direct Admission Scheme)

• Students who have obtained the first ranks in their respective state or central board examinations will be given direct admission irrespective of their BITSAT Score.

• The aggregate marks of such students in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are considered for admissions along with other prescribed subjects of the respective boards.

• Such students have to provide a documentary certificate from their respective boards mentioning their first rank status.
