Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GCET) was started in the year 2002 for admission to all the Master of Computer Application (MCA) programmes conducted by the Universities in Gujarat State for admission in following institutes.

Bhavnagar University, Bhavnagar
Gujarat University, Ahmedabad
Hemchandracharya North Gujarat Unviersity, Patan

S.P University, Vallabh Vidyanagar
Saurashtra University, Rajkot


The Gujarat Common Entrance Test for MCA for the years 2002 to 2004 was conducted by the Veer Narmad South Gujarat University and for the academic year 2005-06 it was done by Gujarat University.

GCET MCA comprises of various sections:

Language Ability
Quantitative ability
Analytical and Logical Reasoning
Mathematics/Business Mathematics/Statistics up to the 12th standard
