Gautam Buddha University (GBU) was established under the Uttar Pradesh Gautam Buddha University Act 2002 (UP Act No. 9 of 2002) in 2008.

It is located in Greater Noida, Gautam Buddha Nagar in Uttar Pradesh.

The University is approved by UGC, AIU, BCI, COA, and RCI and accredited by NAAC with B+ grade.
