GATE is the abbreviated form of the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering .It is organized on all India basis jointly by:
Indian Institute of Science (IIS) and
Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT’s)

No. Of Attempts
There is no limit for appearing in the GATE examination.


Important Dates
Start of application process: September 1, 2014
Closing date for submission of online application: October 1, 2014
Closing date for request for change in the choice of examination city: November 21,2014
Availability of hall ticket : December 17, 2014
GATE online examination date: January 31, 2015 to February 14, 2015
Result dates : March 12, 2015

GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering

It is conducted for the admission in post graduate courses.

GATE Number of Attempts
Candidates can take unlimited times, but every result of each attempt is valid for 2 years only after its result date.

GATE 2015 Application Fee:
General/OBC-NCL Male Candidates/Other Candidates: Rs 1500
SC / ST / PD category Candidates: Rs 750
Women Candidates: Rs 750
