Hey, I have applied for GATR Examination, so can any body give me the details about the GATE exam paper Pattern and provide me sample paper here?

You want to get information of GATE examination pattern. Below I am providing you the information about the GATE examination pattern GATE paper 2012 would contain questions of four different types in paper. Total No. Of Question: There will be 65 Qusestion containing 100 marks. Negative Marking: There are negative marking for each wrong answer, 1/3rd mark will be deducted. |

In all the GATE examination papers, there will be a total of 65 questions carrying 100 marks, out of which 10 questions carrying a total of 15 marks are in General Aptitude (GA). It has Multiple Choice Questions These questions carry 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections. They are objective in nature with a choice of four answers, out of which the candidate has to mark the correct answer(s). Also have Numerical Questions These questions carry 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections. The answer for these questions is a real number There will be no choices given for these questions Candidates must key in the answer using the virtual keypad (The keyboard of the computer will be disabled). GATE Marking Scheme There will be negative marking. For 1-mark questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. For 2-mark questions, 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer There is no negative marking for Numerical questions In the papers bearing the codes AE, AG, BT, CE, CH, CS, EC, EE, IN, ME, MN, MT, PE, PI, TF and XE, the Engineering Mathematics will carry around 15% of the total marks, the General Aptitude section will carry 15% of the total marks and the remaining 70% percentage of the total marks is devoted to the subject of the paper. In the papers bearing the codes AR, CY, EY, GG, MA, PH and XL, the General Aptitude section will carry 15% of the total marks and the remaining 85% of the total marks is devoted to the subject of the paper. |
