Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is conducted on all India bases jointly by: Indian Institute of Science (IIS) and Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT’s) Fee Structure Rs.1000 for general and Rs.500 for SC/ST/PD applicants. Eligibility Criteria Applicants in the second or higher year of the Four-year Integrated Master degree programme (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/ Technology or in the third or higher year of Five-year Integrated Master degree programme and Dual Degree programme in Engineering/ Technology. Applicants must hold Bachelor degreein Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes. Applicants holding Master degree in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final or pre-final year of such programmes. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an all India exam which tests a comprehensive understanding of various undergraduate subjects in engineering and technology. It is conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven IITs (IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras and IIT Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board-GATE, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India. GATE 2015 Application Fee: Category Fees (in INR) Male (General/OBC) 1500 Women (All Categories) 750 Other (General/OBC-NCL) 1500 SC/ST/PwD 750 GATE 2015 Eligibility Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering / Technology / Architecture / Pharmacy (Post - Diploma / Post-B.Sc / 4 years after 10+2) and those who are in the final year of such programs Candidates in the final year of the Four-year Bachelor's degree program in science (B.S.) (Post-Diploma/4 years after 10+2) Master's degree holders in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programs Candidates in the second or higher year of the Four year Integrated Master's degree program or (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering / Technology Candidates in the fourth or higher year of Five year Integrated Master's degree program or Dual Degree program in Engineering / Technology Candidates in the final year of Five-year integrated M.Sc. or Five year integrated B.S. - M.S. Program Candidates with qualification obtained through examination conducted by professional AMIE by IE (I), AMICE (I) by ICE (I) as equivalent to B.E/B.Tech. Those who have completed section A or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible. |
