Here I am providing the information regarding the number of attempts allowed in GATE exam Total no.of attempts: Aspirants belonging to general category can appear for GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test) twice. SC/ST can appear GATE any number of times. OBCs can attempt four times. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering score is valid for 2 years from announcement of GATE results. GATE is the exam for for PG courses in engineering and architecture. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an all India examination administered and conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven Indian Institutes of Technology that are listed below : Indian Institute of Science Bangalore Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur Indian Institute of Technology Bombay Indian Institute of Technology Delhi Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati Indian Institute of Technology Madras Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee |

GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) 2016, is Going to be Conducted by the Collaboration of Indian Institute of Science (IISc.) & Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Bangalore . GATE Number of Attempts Details: Applicants can give Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering Unlimited Times, But every Result of each Attempt is Valid for 2 years only After its Result Date. Candidates Can Give this Test many Times as they want but one Should try to Clear it in first or Second Attempt. Gate Eligibility: Candidates must have Passed Bachelor Degree & (10+2) Qualification. Master Degree Holders can also apply for Gate Exam Candidates who are 3 year or 5 years Degree in Technical also can apply for Gate Entrance Exam Students who are Qualified from UPSC/AICTE who are equivalent to 4-year degree are also eligible for Gate Entrance Exam. Age limit : There is No upper Limit Age Bar and the Candidates are eligible only after their Bachelor Degree achievement. No Age Restriction is there in GATE Exam 2016. Exam Pattern : General Aptitude (GA), There is 10 Questions which are Compulsory and it Carries 15 marks and this Section is Compulsory for all the Candidates and General Aptitude Questions are common for all Candidates. 5 Questions Carry 1 Mark 5 Questions Carry 2 Mark Making it Total 15 Marks Question for wrong answer. For Unattempted Question : No marks For numerical answer type question, there is no negative marking. Marks Distribution pattern is as follows: Question 1 to 25 – One Mark each & Negative Marking of 1/3 Question 26 to 55 – Two Mark each & Negative Marking of 2/3rd. Question 56 to 65 – General Aptitude (15 Mark) & Negative Marking of 1/3rd for One marks & 2/3rd for two marks |
