Functions/responsibilities of officers in IAF:
Administrative Branch officers:

Officer in the Administration Department responsible for the efficient management of human and material resources.

Some other duties as:

Air Traffic Controller:
Maintain an orderly flow of traffic,
Airspace management

Fighter Controller:
Responsible for close contact and supervision between the air and radar for effective airspace management.

Counter enemy threats from the air by using modem electronic counter-offensive equipment.

Accounts Branch officers:
Analyzes the cost and fund requirements
Monitors the expenditure and unit funds
Plans and forecasts the budgetary requirement of the Air Force.

Conducts the financial matters with diversified activities .

Responsible for efficient management of funds as well as disbursement of pay and allowances to Air Force personnel.

Logistics Branch officers:
Undertakes material and resources management of all Air Force resources around the country.

Supplies clothing to aircraft equipment.

Ensure efficient supervision of inventories and availability of necessary items to all operators and users .

Responsible for provisioning of :
Aircraft spares,
Mechanical transport,
Fuel,
Armament
Explosives,
Flying and other clothing items, rations and other items essential for day to day running of the organization and sustaining its manpower.
