The full form of APEPDCL is Eastern Power Distribution Company of Andhra Pradesh Limited. It was formed on the 31st of March, 2000, to serve as a Distribution Company of AP Transco.

APEPDCL, Visakhapatnam is the leading Indian power utility serving a consumer base of over 4.97 million spread across five districts in the southern state of Andhra Pradesh.
